Pregnancy Test(UPT)

Urine pregnancy test is done to know if a woman is pregnant. This test measures the levels human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) also known as pregnancy hormone, present in the urine of a pregnant woman. It is detectable in the urine after 10-11 days of conception. hCG hormone is secreted by the placental cells and its levels keep on increasing until 10-12 weeks of pregnancy. This test is extremely valuable and inexpensive tool for early detection of pregnancy.
